How the resume matcher works

Our Resume Job Description Matcher uses advanced AI to compare the skills, experiences, and keywords in your resume directly against the requirements listed in a job description.

When you upload your document, we extract the text and run a comparative analysis to identify exactly where your qualifications align with the employer's needs, and where you might be falling short. This simulates how modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) evaluate your application before it ever reaches a human recruiter.

What the match score means

After analysis, you receive a Match Score out of 100. This score represents the percentage of critical keywords, required skills, and core qualifications from the job description that are demonstrably present in your resume.

A score above 80 typically indicates a strong match, meaning your resume is highly likely to pass automated screening. A lower score doesn't necessarily mean you aren't qualified—it often just means your resume needs to be better tailored to highlight the specific experiences the employer is looking for.

How to improve your resume match

Improving your match score isn't about keyword stuffing or fabricating experience. It's about translating your existing experience into the language the employer uses.
